The first version of this drawing was sans-penguin. I added the little guy later. Found it hiding in an old sketchbook. I was really satisfied with how the gun turned out. The penguin’s texture actually came from a penguin photo from google images. Not sure if that’s cheating or not. Oh, well…
Another photoshop doodle. This one was really quick. Was trying my hand with some fancy brushes. The goo on the green guy’s face was an afterthought but I think it really added to the piece. Love how ambiguous the whole scene looks.
Not really sure about his teeth, but I liked the way his tongue came out in the end. Not sure about the crazy bird either.
I think it’s the first time I use this much pink.
Photoshop. Took me about a week. Not used to working for so long on the same piece. Used some photographic reference for the background and the beetle parked outside. Also did some pencil sketching for the guy with the ‘fro. My favorite bit is the dino guy’s mouth. The blue dude’s left hand looks like crap.
